Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to common questions.

MUMC is a community-centered church that values relationships, friendship, and growing together in faith and in life. We love welcoming new people and working together to share God’s love in our community and beyond. Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or are just beginning to explore faith, there is a place for you here.

Our worship blends old and new traditions. We have both a choir and a praise band, and we sing a mix of hymns and contemporary worship songs. You’ll experience elements of traditional liturgy alongside more modern approaches to worship. Above all, our goal is to create a space where people can genuinely connect with God through prayer, music, scripture, and community.

We LOVE kids at MUMC — because church is for everyone!

Some families begin by attending Messy Church, which is designed specifically for all ages to learn and worship together in a creative, hands-on way. During Sunday morning worship, children are invited forward for a children’s message with the pastor before heading to Sunday School partway through the service.

We also have a kids’ corner in the sanctuary with bean bags, books, and drawing materials where children are welcome during worship.

There are public parking lots on both sides of the MUMC building, along with additional street parking nearby.

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! Some people come in a suit and tie, while others wear jeans and a T-shirt. Come as you are — we’re just glad you’re here.

Yes! We have an elevator, handicap parking and seating sections. All parts of the building are handicap accessible.

No. Many of us first came to church with questions, doubts, or simply a sense of curiosity. Faith is a journey, and you don't need to have everything figured out before you walk through the door.

We believe that every person is a beloved child of God, created with dignity and worth. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here.
